Virginia’s artisan culture links the past, present & future and reconciles “meaning” with “making" and this winter ACV is providing you with two exhibition opportunites to meet Juried Virginia artisans who are embracing this unique way of life.
On January 28-29 at the Virginia Commision for the Arts "Art Works for Virginia" conference meet artisans from 9 of the juried craft media categories as they showcase their works and share stories of their path to becoming a professional artisan in the State of Virginia. February 15 - April 13, the River District Arts in Rappahannock, Virginia in partnership with ACV will host "Makin' It In Virginia," an exhibition featuring a collection of fine, handmade craft by ACV juried members who are makin' a living by makin' craft in Virginia.
