Singer, songwriter, & storyteller, Taryn Weaver, will perform as Harriet Tubman at the Scrabble School Preservation Foundation’s Black History Month program on Saturday, February 10 at 4pm.
The event is free and open to the public. Come early for light refreshments—3:30. (Donations gratefully received.)
Taryn believes that portraying Harriet Tubman is a gift from God. Harriet has become a component of Taryn’s being and she enjoys sharing Harriet’s Underground Railroad experiences and the hardships Harriet endured in her quest for freedom. She has performed “Harriet Tubman” at venues throughout Fauquier, Warren, Culpeper, and Rappahannock counties; including James Madison’s Montpelier and the Afro-American Historical Museum in The Plains.
