Join us for the Opening Reception of Geometric Aljamía: a Cultural Transliteration.
By addressing the fundamental geometry embedded in two-dimensional art, this exhibition acknowledges hybrid connections and the significant role played by aljamía - a medieval Spanish word for Romance languages written in Arabic script - in preserving Islam and the Arabic language in the West.
