Dutch artist Carole Böggemann Peirson loves to create original oil paintings outdoors on location to capture the moment and study light and atmosphere with her own eyes. Afterwards, she uses these fresh “plein-air” paintings as reference material to create often larger studio works. She mostly paints landscapes, but also occasionally paints still life and florals.
Painting is her big passion in life and she draws inspiration from the beautiful nature surrounding her on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, where she lives with her husband and dog.
Carole teaches oil painting to adults in regular classes, workshops and private lessons and she sells her artwork at outdoor shows, plein-air events and through galleries. She occasionally accepts commissions.
