As a woodworking craftsman, I design and build fine furniture, both custom and speculative. I work alone, creating each piece from start to finish. This enables me to maintain quality set to my high standards.
My approach to design tends toward curvacious lines, which typically leads to more challanging construction techniques. As to the end result, I seek a form that is visually simplistic, despite the complexity of it’s parts.
Interesting, unconventional shapes, accented with complementary woods, exposed joinery, and changes in texture, are signatures of my furniture.
My home/shop is located in the mountains above the town of Sperryville, adjacent to Shenandoah National Park. I am there more often than not, but it is always best to call ahead to make an appointment.
