As an Art teacher in both public and private schools, one is required to be a “Jack-of-all-Trades”. Since retiring I have found the time to return to my original media of textile design. I am especially excited with the vast variety of textures and hand dyed yarns that are available today. The blend of colors and textures and how they react to one another is phenomenal. Experimenting with these and the traditional patterns have really been exciting to see the finished products. Most of my inspiration comes from Nature and the colors from the change of seasons, and where better to obtain that inspiration than here in the Shenandoah Valley.
