Gina grew up in neighboring Warren county, and was an apprentice to the silversmith Steve Jacobson in Winchester, VA for over eight years. Learning the basics, and being given creative license, made for a great experience. The next ten years were spent doing creative, and repair work in Front Royal. That is where she met her business partner John, and where they opened a jewelry shop, in April of 2005. They spent nine years growing their inventory, which includes vintage, and estate jewelry, and Gina`s custom designs, and creations. Both have lived in Rappahannock county for years, and as soon as an opportunity opened up for them to move their shop to Sperryville, they took it. Ridge Line Designs opened in March of 2015,at the 10 River Lane location, and they are excited to work in the county that they call home. Gina finds inspiration on the drive to work each day. For the last two years, Gina was a guest artist on the Rappahannock Artist Studio Tour for two years, and is honored to be included as a stop on the tour, in her new location. Gina takes great care to hand select gemstones, and beads to be used in her creations, some of which can take weeks, months, or years to find just the right fit in a piece of her work. She also delights in re-purposing vintage finds, to recreate jewelry of her own.
