Sue Hickman, of Studio 2724, is an accomplished, award winning, prolific quilt making fiber artist. Her pieces vary from traditional to modern, functional to fashionable. Whether for a bed, lap, table, or wall, her quilts add accent to a home and are thoughtfully, skillfully created to provide beauty, warmth, and comfort.
Sue began quilting over 35 years ago, and she has shared her passion for the art of quilting with others through classes wherever she has called home.
It falls within Sue’s artistic nature to create, not merely imitate. Her inspiration often comes directly from the fabrics with which she works. She often makes use of techniques that allow her to bring forth unique one-of-a-kind pieces. Each of her quilts tells a special story.
Sue’s website contains a gallery of her work and there you will find pieces currently available for purchase. Additionally, she welcomes commissioned special requests.
- Sue is available for quilting demonstrations and teaches quilting classes throughout the year at Studio 2724. Visit www.studio2724.com for information regarding upcoming classes.
