Hand dyed yarns and luxury and farm raised fibers

Artisans Center of Virginia Juried Artisan

Welcome to our working studio and shop on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. Ten Good Sheep is a homesteading shepherdess owned small business.

Our shop features small batch/one of a kind hand-dyed yarns and fibers. We also have a large variety of spinning and felting fibers in luxury fibers ranging from superfine Merino to Tibetan yak and everything in between. You can even build your own spinning or felting batt on our huge electric drum carder. There’s no need to wait for a Sheep and Wool festival when you can stop by and restock your stash.

Private and intimately sized group workshops are periodically available in spinning, sheep shearing and hoof care & our specially developed wool/fleece washing methods. We also occasionally instruct in the dye studio for fibers, yarns and wearables.

We enjoy teaching visitors about the fibers and equipment we use and our hope is to inspire others to find a new passion through working with natural fibers. Artisan entrepreneurial coaching and mentoring is available as well.

Ten Good Sheep is a natural fiber artisan studio and shop owned by a homesteading shepherdess.

The studio is located in the quaint artist community of the Historic Onancock School in downtown Onancock, VA.

Our local & one of a kind work ranges from hand-dyed yarns and spinning/felting fibers and art batts to unique wearables, gifts and home goods.

Our current wholesale line includes the finest quality and best made felted soaps available on the market. We partner with independent retailers, museum shops and galleries across the country and in Canada to provide them with a variety of quality, small batch produced offerings for their customers.
